NEPQ Sales Questions

Ask and listen — don't pitch. Questions persuade, not you.

  • Connecting«What was it about [X] that caught your attention?»
  • Situation«What are you currently using / doing for [X]? How long have you been doing it that way?»
  • Problem Awareness«What do you like — or not like — about how things are working right now?»
  • Solution Awareness«What have you done about changing this, if anything? How do you see your situation being different?»
  • Consequence«What happens if nothing changes six months from now?»

NEPQ Objections

Clarify → Discuss → Diffuse. Never go into rebuttal mode.

  • «I need to think about it.»Clarify: «What part do you need to think through most — is it the price, the timing, or something else?»
  • «I can't afford it.»Clarify: «How do you mean? Is it that the budget isn't there right now, or that you're not sure it's worth it?»
  • «Is this a scam?»Validate + clarify: «That's a fair question — can I ask what made you wonder that? I want to make sure I address the right thing.»
  • «I already have something like this.»Clarify: «What are you using now? What do you like most about it — and is there anything you wish it did differently?»
  • General patternRepeat their words back: «When you say [X], what do you mean by that exactly?» Then listen — don't pitch.

  • Daily focus: get paidEvery day should produce at least one revenue action — DM, post, or follow-up.
